Usually we are pressing apples in October but times have changed and our apples were more than a month early this year! We still have another round to harvest off some of our giant heirloom trees but we have picked all of our smaller trees and have pressed just over 30 gallons! It always feels like fall when the sunflowers are in bloom and we are pressing apples. You can’t get better cider than fresh off the press but the second best is if it is preserved immediately. The last couple of years we have only had time to freeze it or make hard cider but this year we canned as much as we could so you too could enjoy it.
